Anointing of the Sick

Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint (him) with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.

James 5:14-15

Those who wish to be anointed may call the parish office any time to schedule the reception of this sacrament at home or in a health care facility.  If you will be having surgery, call the pastor to make arrangements to be anointed after one of the weekend Masses.

In case of an emergency, call the parish immediately.

These celebrations normally take place in the fall and spring of the year.  A light meal is provided for all who were anointed, as well as those who may have come with them to church that evening.
