While parents are called to be the chief catechists or teachers of the ways of faith, the Church of the Resurrection seeks to assist the parents in this responsibility by providing an organized program of faith formation.
One of the best ways to pass on our faith to our children is by living our faith fully. This includes the regular practice of worshiping the Lord each and every weekend and on holy days.
Many parents are afraid that their children will disturb other adults at Mass, and sit in the back of the church. Since the children cannot see what is happening at the front of the church, they are not able to participate in our common worship. Children who sit with their parents at the front of the church often learn at a very early age to begin participating in our Catholic traditions at Mass.
