Christian Initiation for Adults (Catechists)

Deacon Royce
Adults who are seeking to deepen their relationship with God by joining the Catholic Church prepare for the sacraments of baptism, confirmation and eucharist or reception into the full communion of the Catholic Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Catechists meet with them, usually after the 10:00 a.m. Mass, to help them on their journey of faith leading to the Easter sacraments or the reception into full communion. The archdiocese provides workshops, and those already engaged in the ministry help new catechists as they develop skills for sharing the faith.
More than simply disciples who sit and learn from the Master, we are also called to be apostles. Apostles are sent by the Master to share what they learned when they were first disiples.
As Jesus prepared to leave the earth, he sent his disciples to share the Good News with people of every nations, so that the world might know who he was, what he had done, and how they were saved by him.
Our Adult Faith Formation programs help us to grow in our own personal faith so that we might share it with others.
The Church of the Resurrection offers several programs for Adult Faith Formation: Bible Study, Annual Retreat, Seasonal Programs, Revival and Sacramental Preparation.
