Every January, on the Martin Luther King, Jr. national holiday, the Church of the Resurrection celebrates the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. King by presenting awards to people in the Cincinnati area who are “Keeping the Dream Alive.” Planning begins six to eight months prior to the event. Choosing the awardees, planning the celebrations, preparing the program and selling sponsorships are all part of the process.
