Sacramental Preparation

(Catechist)

Janie Allen-Blue

Catechists share their faith and pass it on to children (7 or over) preparing for the sacraments of eucharist and reconciliation or full initiation into the Church.  They generally gather on Sundays immediately after the 10:00 a.m. Mass for about an hour for six to eight weeks.  Other catechists do the same with youth (13 to 17) preparing for the sacrament of confirmation.  They usually gather monthly on Saturdays, for several hours at a time, to grow in their understanding of how God is calling them to live in the Spirit as they prepare to be anointed with Chrism and sealed in the Spirit.

The Church of the Resurrection offers Sacramental Preparation programs for children and adults depending on their needs.
